These studio sessions will give the artist the opportunity to explore intaglio printmaking. Participants will be able to practice the utilization of the complete drypoint printmaking process, from using a drypoint needle to scratch an image onto a printing plate; paper preparation; inking the plate; and printing with an etching press.

 

In addition,  the management and safe studio practices will be reviewed and demonstrated.
 
Level: All levels are welcome.

Basic materials will be supplied for a materials fee. The materials fee includes: 2 - 11" x 14" styrene plates; 4 - 22" x 30" sheets of Hahnemule paper ; inks; latex gloves; cheese cloth ; use of brayers and drypoint needles.

Your sketchbook;

Basic drawing materials;

Paper Towel Roll

Reference material from which you would like to work.
