$55 per studio session
$15 materials fee per session
These studio sessions will give the artist the opportunity to explore the art of painting with encaustic. In combination with painting - participants will be able to practice the utilization of embedding elements into wax; incorporating mixed media such as oil pastels, paper and found objects; utilizing mark making devices and methods. Artists will be encouraged to collaborate and share ideas.
Level: All levels are welcome.
Basic materials for all workshops will be supplied in the studio for a materials fee. The materials fee includes: Encaustic Medium; Encaustic Soy Wax; Encausticbord 6” X 6”; Variety of Oil Pastels; as well as a variety of Encaustic Paint Colors.
Suggested Materials Participants Should Bring:
Natural Bristol Brush;
Watercolor Paper;
Collage Materials;
Oil Pastels;
Roll of Paper Towels.
