Ninth Wave Studio is the studio of Linda Rzoska in Kalamazoo Michigan.
If you Google the phase “the ninth wave” you’ll come across a lot of interesting information –from the famous oil painting by Russian artist Ivan Aivazovsky to occult and new age references. Please, the studio name has nothing to do with any of these things. The name of the studio came about from my study of Celtic mythology and folklore in which the boundaries of the mortal world are marked by the ninth wave. It’s more about journeying past known thresholds than anything else.
The mission of the Ninth Wave Studio is to promote, support and nurture the ingenuity and individual growth of the artists of Southwest Michigan
by providing opportunities for exhibitions, collaboration, experimentation, practice and dialog.
